Hillary Cummings, PT, DPT
Hillary received her Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University earning a double major in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019.
Hillary discovered her passion for women’s health while pursuing her Doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh, choosing to complete her final internship in the women’s health field. During her year-long internship, she split her time between outpatient rehabilitation and inpatient rehabilitation, where she managed patients with various pelvic floor diagnoses and worked with postoperative patients after hysterectomies, mastectomies, and breast reconstructions. Hillary also spent time on the postpartum floor educating women on how to make a safe recovery following vaginal or cesarean delivery. Hillary is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Section on Women’s Health and through the APTA is pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic). Hillary is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and has completed her 200 hour certification. Hillary’s clinical interests include perinatal musculoskeletal disorders, pelvic floor disorders, bowel and bladder dysfunctions, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, pelvic and abdominal pain, diastasis recti, and sexual dysfunction.
