Hillary Cummings, PT, DPT, WCS
Hillary received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. In 2019, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. Hillary also received her certification as a board-certified clinical specialist in women’s health physical therapy.
Hillary discovered her passion for women’s health while at the University of Pittsburgh, choosing to complete her final year-long internship in women’s health where she worked in outpatient women’s rehabilitation, managing patients with various pelvic floor diagnoses. During that internship, Hillary also spent her time in inpatient rehabilitation at Pittsburgh’s Women’s Hospital, working with patients with cancer diagnoses after surgeries, such as hysterectomies, mastectomies and breast reconstructions. Hillary also spent time on the postpartum floor, helping patients learn how to safely recover from a vaginal or cesarean delivery. Currently, Hillary is working at Northwestern Medicine in the Department of Women’s Health Physical Therapy. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Pelvic Health. Through the Academy of Pelvic Health, she has completed all levels of the Pelvic Health Physical Therapy series. Hillary is also a registered yoga teacher and has her 200-hour certification. Hillary’s interests include perinatal musculoskeletal disorders, pelvic floor disorders, bowel and bladder dysfunctions, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, pelvic and abdominal pain, diastasis recti, and sexual dysfunction.
